Title graphic of From Reno to Truckee

We were just souls on the road

Two old mustangs

How fast can you go?

It's snowing and cold

It's a long way to Reno

It's about as far as you can go

And I'm trying to make Truckee

To a love I don't even know

And I'm out there now

And I don't know how

And I never did

It's in my stars

I'm in my car

Just wandering

FROM RENO TO TRUCKEE. This song is about time spent traveling solo in a snowstorm on the Nevada side up to Lake Tahoe. Am I going to get to where I'm going, and why am I out here in the first place? That woman who wants to meet up with you again on the slopes of Alpine Meadows is your reason, but the car you're in just doesn't have quite the traction and it's trying to tell you something. You begin to turn down the radio as the snow is too mesmerizing. Off goes the music. You've played this out before on life's toll road. You're reminded that The West is so big, but you just try to keep it all moving up the hill.

It's a long way from Reno

It's about as far as you can go

And I'm trying to make Truckee

To that angel in the snow

It's a long way from Reno

It's about as far as you can go

And I'm trying to make Truckee

To a love I don't even know

It's a long way from Reno

It's about as far as you can go

And I'm trying to make Truckee

Two old mustangs in the snow
