You flew to paradise
But it didn't go well
Hangin' in the mist
With your fantasy pals, woah
You ain't comin' back
On a rainy night
What did you do?
You met fate...
In Honolulu, woah
You ain't comin' back
You waited outside
While the family yelled
'Till they all rushed out
Pointed you to hell, woah
You ain't comin' back
HONOLULU NIGHT is based on a domestic incident gone terribly wrong. A collision of family emotion, and a conviction of faith that needlessly brought tragedy. Imagine the protagonist as strong and young one moment, and gone the next. The moral is to seriously avoid being near a charging and complex human train if it is not yours to catch.
You walked right into it
You couldn't see
Something so small
Shiny, yeah
You ain't coming back
The wrong time
The wrong place
Fading away
Her young face
You chased it for nothing
You never knew
The very life
Slippin' out of you, woah
You ain't coming back
